The  2nd  LTT  of the project  “CREATIVE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS “ was completed between   21-25  May   2018 in ITALY

First day

​

All the students met at school at 09:00. The headmaster Antonio Iaconianni made a speech. He told that he was very happy to host all the students these projects are very important for cultural exchanges.  Thanks to these projects, we learn to respect each other, to show tolerance to other people and improve ourselves.

Then, to make the students know each other, we organized some warm-up activities. They also introduced themselves one by one. Every group also introduced their school/town and city.

They had a workshop about what we should do to be an active citizen. They were given some instructions:

-Decide on a topic about active citizenship

-Think about an activity

-Prepare a role-play about it

-Take photos about the activity

-prepare a photo-slide show about it

-Share it with other students using computers

They were let free to meet the other students at school during the break and then they completed their activities. At the end of the workshop, the all the works were collected for the e-magazine.

They were given free time to explore the city.

Second day

​

All the students met at 08:30 and they departed for Sila for a cultural and natural trip. They first went to a national park and then they went up a mountain by cable cars. They watched the beautiful view there. After that, they went to a lake and had lunch there.

The next stop was at I Giganti della Sila where is a monumental woodland that plays host to 350 year-old trees with trunks 2 metres wide. They were given information about the forest of Calabrian pines and sycamores planted in the 17th century by the baronial Mollo family. They saw gazing upwards at the foliage of trees up to 45 meters tall. And then they went back to Cosenza.

Third day

​

The students met at 09:00 and went to Calabria International university. They were given a seminar about New Solutions of Working With People Abroad. They visited a special room where are people working with computers and communicating world-wide and they were given information about The Talent Garden where you can have an idea about what the future jobs/opportunities are, the passion of working, the best way to predict the future and invent it, the passions of working with people. There is a work campus and they also a website. There are 3500 taggers and they can reach to 50.000 square meters and there are 18 countries from which taggers come. They also have 1000+ events, 100.000 online community and new campuses added every year.

The students were given information about creativity, inspiring environment and new kinds of enterprises and collaborations and they saw many outputs of creativity there.

Then they all visited the International University of Calabria. They were shown a presentation about the university and student exchanges, campus life, dormitories, and accommodation, departments and teachers. After that they had lunch at the cafeteria and they had a chance to observe the students from abroad.

At 15:00, they all met at school again and they had a workshop about tax evasion. Why the taxes are important  was explained to them. They were asked what to do and how to behave when they face this problem. They were given an assignment about how to behave someone who evades taxes(to prepare a role-play, drama, to write a story, a power point presentation). Then they all displayed their presentations.

Fourth Day

​

Cultural Trip to Matera.

They all met at 09:00 and departed for Matera which is famous for its ancient caves in which people lived in ancient times. They started our trip in the modern city and then walked around the historical places like houses, churches, castles and shops. Then they reached the caves which are still exist. Some information about the town and places were given and it was also told that in 2019, there would be restoration work funded by UNESCO there.

Fifth Day

​

They all met at 09:00 at school. Then a Treasure Hunting Game was organized. They were given a maths problem. After they solved it, they found a clue of another problem. And after solving the second question, they found a clue of a data hidden in the garden and consisting some information of an important event. They played some Kahoot games following this activity. All the presentations and prepared materials were collected. Then an e-magazine was prepared. They also shared their thoughts and feelings about the second LTT. And then The second LTT was ended officially.
