Aim of the activity : Teaching the students what citizen / citizenship / active citizen means
Teaching the students features of active citizen
Couraging the students to think / prepare / organize activities to have these
features of active citizen
Activity :
All the students have a discussion of what the citizen / citizenship / active
citizen means .Then we have written features of active citizen on the board
then we have set up groups and each group will prepare /think / organize
activiites about these features. Then we will choose some of them and complete
the activities at the last week of April.

We decided to organize “traffic day” in our coaching model lesson.Because the traffic is a problem that most turkish citizens do not obey the rules. So we have talked to the provincial police department and organized traffic day to remind the rules to our students and families. First on 14.11.2018 a police was invited to our school and we had a workshop.The traffic rules are reminded and studnets’ questions were answered. We thank to the provincial police department .And the second meeting for families will be held in December .

In Creative Class and 9th grades we have discussed what activities we can do for being active citizens . Then our students decided to prepare brochures how to be an active citizen both in Turkish and English.
They prepared these brochures and visited Tenzile ErdoÄŸan Anatolian High School , Ahmet Melih Anatolian High School and Fine Arts Vocational High school and delivered the brochures .They explained the Creative Teachers and students Erasmus+ project and answered the studnets’ questions . Also they went to city centre and gave the brochures to the local people.
And next activity will be about preparing another booklet and explain how the people can use internet and technology about being active citizen

Our students have prepared posters and in this posters they have explained how to reach governmental services using technolgy they have visited some other schools and delivered these posters

Our school Project coordinator had a meeting with a teacher who teaches drama in Isparta Youth Center . Then some of our students started to have drama education during the week they had lessons in our Creative Class and at weekends they had lessons at youth center.These lessons helps our students improve their self-confidence .They will preare a short play for the end of the term.

Subject : Active Citizenship
Activity : Students have organized a workshop about citizenship in our school.Students decided to discuss about an international problem and troubles. They discussed /worked about environmental problems and recycling.All students write articles about recycling. They asked the following questions
“ How can we reuse the certain rubbish? And Can we make /produce / create new goods using these rubbish? “
We have read all their papers and asked them to prepare a poster about this subject.We have chosen their good ideas and share them on the school boards. And 22/05/2019 we organised a dinner for the students who participated this activity.
